As someone who has been active all their life it was natural for me to start a career in Athletic Therapy and specialize in working with athletes at all levels but as I moved through my schooling I had the opportunity to work with many different populations including those with a cancer diagnoses. When I came back to Vancouver post graduation I wanted to intertwine my expertise in sports rehabilitation with the field of exercise oncology. So with a vision of empowering cancer patients through physical activity and personalized recovery plans I became a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a speciality in Exercise and Rehab Oncology.

As a specialist in exercise oncology, exercise and movement are a main component of all my treatment plans. Cancer and its treatments can cause many different side effects that impact physical functioning, independence and quality of life. Exercise is a safe and effective treatment strategy and helps prevent, manage and improve side effects of cancer treatments and is recommended at all stages of cancer.
